I have been using a self tanner from bath and body works, the one with the spf. It does have a bit of an odor like most self tanners do. I have a lot of friends that self tan or do the Mystic spray tan. I never smell it on them but they also complain about the odor. Do you think people may be able to smell it on me? Have you ever slelled it on someone else?

Hi. I have ALWAYS been very self concious about my skin color. I am norwegian, hungarian, and french with very light skin. When I was younger I never cared at all when people would go “oh my your soooo white!” and stuff. Then when I was in 6th grade I would always ask myself “why does her legs look better in a skirt than mine do?” at first I thought it was because I was “fat”. but then I realized its because they were tanner then me. Ever since then I have HATED exposing my skin, so I would (and still do) wear jeans & a jacket all the time. I wear a foundation way darker than my skintone to cover up the fact that I am pale. I have been to tanning salons, but I dont have the money or commitment to start bed-tanning. Last year, I was a self-tanner. The day after I would cover my entire body with a whole can of spray tan, I had a nice tan (because I made sure to cover EVERY inch of my body). I would do another tan about 3-4 days again. And during those days in between, my tan would turn absolutely disgusting (blotchy, orange, streaky, etc.) The first day of my nice tan everyone thought I had went to the beach and I got very tan and everyone was saying “oh u look so much healthier and pretty!” I felt amazing and confident. Then people started catching onto my spray tanning secret and after 2 months of spray tanning, I realized every day that my tan looked like SHIT! I had to endure a whole year of being called orange, oompa loompa, etc. Thats what everyone knew me as, It ruined my reputation, my self esteem, and people were embarased to be seen associating with me. Now that I am still self tanning free, I still feel sooo self concious. I feel great about myself when I get a once in a while mystictan or versaspa tan. The first thing I notice about people is their tan. I am completely obsessed with it. If I had one wish, it would be to be tan. I dont know why I am so obsessed with it or anything, but it would be great to get some responses. Thanks!

What self tanners are good for guys and don’t make you look orange. I am tan all over but I can’t seem to get a facial tan. I bought Loreal sublime bronze Spray tan but I’m not sure if I should use it because I heard it makes you look orange and that’s the least I want to happen. Also are sunless tanners good for oily/acne prone skin?

I’m going to a snowball dance, at my boyfriend’s school. I have some friends that go there, but I never get to see them, I haven’t seen any of them since September of last year at our rival football game, and I look a lot different (better) than I did then. Well, I want to look my best at the dance to WOW everyone. This will also be the first time meeting his friends, and I want to make a good impression. I have a light brown dress, with a gold over lay and gold pattern on it, but i want to look tan to make the dress work. Mom won’t let me go tanning, or spray tan, so I want to buy some self-tanning lotion. Can anyone recommend s few brands that work the best, look natural, and won’t turn me orange? Thanks!

ive never been tanning at a salon i only do self tanner at home and i wanted to start getting spray tans at holywood tans regularly through the winter and into the summer but i dont even know where to start. i dont want to do the beds just spray tans. can anyone tell me what kind of packages or plans that hollywood tans offers and how i would start out?? do i need a base tan and how do i get it?? i want to know all the details and everyhting about spray tans. thanks!
right now i just want to be a little bit darker than my skintone and build it up darker toward the spring and summer. does any one know what type of spray tans i would use?

I gave my self a spray tan and it looked really good except i have a huge strip down my arm and i have tryed lemon juice but it isn’t doing much! What can I do to fad the tan.

ok so now i am at a point where i can’t go to tanning beds/get spray tans because i’m pretty heavily tattooed.
so what should i use? i really hate being pasty. i used to have this Sublime Glow by L’Oreal but i want something more intense.
however, other self tanners i;ve tried were either patchy, or orangy, or greasy, or would stain clothes or wash out way too quickly and noticeably.
what is the stuff that you tan freaks like?)))

i have very fair skin so when i get fake tanning sprays at the spa or buy self-tanner they come out waay too orange for it to look natural. does anyone know of a self tanner with a more pinkish tone?? suggestions?

If not could i prolong it myself without going back to the salon. Im going on holiday for two half weeks and want a lovely tan, and self tanners DONT do it for me

im looking for a pretty in expensive self tanner that you can get from a drug store, etc. im going to prom in exactly a week and i want to get about three shades darker if not more. i dont wanna do the fake Spray tan or tanning beds. im just looking for a instant tanner that really works and works FAST, without looking orange and blotchy. i don’t care about the smell,Also, do instant tanners really work instantly or does it take a couple days?
